Jeff Armour (2018)
December 24, 2018
Our sincere condolences to Pauline Armour and family for the recent passing of husband Jeff Armour. Jeff was very well known and well liked by many in the BOHC and BOSL. Jeff had registered to play next year in his 12th season of Slo-Pitch as a 2nd and 1st baseman and was currently the 1st-place goalie in the grey division of Oldtimers Hockey. Jeff was a valuable volunteer helping our BOHC advertising committee each year getting sponsors. He was an athlete and a gentleman in both leagues and will be sadly missed. > READ MORE

Our BOSL family lost another friend today. For those of you that didn’t know him he was the kindest, nicest man, one hell of a teammate and a past League President. Our deepest sympathies goes out to his family, friends and loved ones.
Paul joined BOSL 22 years ago having won his Bob Brown award in 2005. Paul served as a Board of Director from 1993 to 1999 and as President of the leaguefor one term. Always a candidate for Most Valuable Oldtimer and our Oldtimer of the Year Award, Paul is fun to play with and against, hits anywhere and has good speed. He has a great attitude and exemplifies sportsmanship in BOSL. Paul talked me into re-joining the league when he was registration director and I'm glad he did. > READ MORE

Our BOSL family lost a good one today. Our heart felt thoughts and prayers go out to the family, friends and teammates of Rich McCullough. (Ron Evinou)
I got the pleasure of seeing him through the summer for slowpitch and through the winter coaching hockey. He is a true gentleman and a class act, he will be missed (Kevin Elkins)
It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Rich on June 25, 2018. Devoted husband to Suzie, loving father to Blaze and RJ and stepfather to René and brother to Caroline. Rich will be dearly missed by his family and countless friends whose lives he touched. His undeniable sense of humour, infectious laugh and warm smile followed him everywhere he went, whether it was at the community hockey rink or the baseball diamond where he devoted so much time and effort to the Burlington Old Timers League. He always brightened everyone’s day. His love for hockey and passion to support his community was evident as a longstanding Burlington City Rep referee for the Burlington City Rep Eagles. He will be immensely missed but never forgotten with love in our hearts. As an expression of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Burlington City Rep Eagles or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Bill Smith (2015)
Feb 2, 2015
I have some bad news to pass on. Bill Smith, a long-time player in the BOSL passed away suddenly on February 2nd. I knew Bill through the BOSL during my first couple of years in the league and also through my regular visits to Hectors where Bill tended bar during the BOHC season. Bill was a worthy recipient of the Willard Pilatzke award in 2002. Fun and Fellowship was truly what Bill was all about. A memorial service will be held. (Jim Hindley)
